Andreas Terlas Design Studio is a full-service interior design studio. We specialize in the design and development of residential and hospitality projects. OUR SERVICES CREATE VALUE
Interior Design – Interior design involves an array of disciplines from the technical to the artistic, from architectural drawings to color and textile selections.
At ATDS, we are multidisciplinary and equally versed in the art and the science of interior design. A design package from us may include space-planning and drawings, hand sketches and computer renderings, lighting selections, and more.
Project Coordination – No matter the size of the production, every orchestra needs a conductor; and experience has taught us that project leadership must be hierarchical to be effective, and for the project to be well-organized and well-done.
Because we have a vested interest in seeing a project succeed beautifully and our clients happy, we are fully engaged in the construction process as project coordinators.
Acting on our clients' behalf, we facilitate bidding and negotiations (non-legal), hire and schedule the trades, convene with architects, engineers, etc., and oversee construction and its thousands of details, so that the design intent is executed faithfully, the time-frame is respected and the budget is honored.
Purchasing – At ATDS we do the purchasing of products and services required for the successful execution of a new construction or renovation project.
That entails correspondence with vendors, generating quote requests, handling of estimates, getting client approvals, generating purchase orders and handling payments, approving items prior to shipment, scheduling and tracking shipments, arranging receipt of products and materials, and quality assurance upon delivery.
Accessories & Art Sourcing – We will accessorize your entire project with all the items that create a completed space, including artwork selection and valuation, as well as navigating primary and secondary art markets on your behalf.
Furniture & Cabinetry Design – Sometimes the particularities of space require a custom solution. The perfect piece of furniture or built-in cabinet can indeed complete a space. Yes, we design and work with talented artisans, fabricators, and cabinet makers that use high-quality materials to build your piece to exact specifications.
Consulting – Frequently called upon by our peers for assistance, we lend our expertise to developers, architects, and designers.
OUR PROCESS IS SYSTEMATIC
We approach each project first and foremost through a recognition that you, the client, are taking a step towards making a difference in your lives or businesses by hiring us. Regardless of the scale or scope of a project, there's a great importance to working systematically.
Our process involves:
Initial Consultation – we listen and learn about our clients' needs and desires Inventory Our Clients' Belongings – catalog existing belongings, and we may advise on retaining the essentials and discarding the superfluous
Schematic Design – conceptual and space planning including floor plans, computer and/or hand renderings, the selection of furnishings, finishes, and accessories as needed to express the vision for clients' approval
Design Development – detailed drawings and specifications package which is actionable by vendors and trades and fundamental to a project's successful execution
Purchasing – ordering of furnishings, finishes, and accessories required to produce a turnkey product or simply execute the scope of work
On each and every project, we serve as our clients' representatives and fiduciary, always advocating on their behalf.
